Build Your Own Dream

What is ‘living the dream’? Is that even possible? To live the dream is for it to become a reality. Do I still have a dream after that? The answer is yes. My dreams are constantly evolving and changing. The dream has no destination, only a direction — a path that I am currently on.

The dream is under endless construction, this does not mean contentment cannot be achieved — in fact I am pretty contented writing this blog right now. Building my dream gives me that gratification and I am fortunate that my dreams can continue to evolve. I am carving out my own path in the film industry, I am a storyteller and filmmaker — I am living the dream. But I am not stopping here, I want to challenge myself, find and tell new stories and be constantly curious about where I can go next.

I am keeping ‘the dream’ alive breathing life into it as often as I can, gathering inspiration and creating. Sparks of inspiration ignite a flame under the dream — they get me moving. The people around me supported the dream, encouraging me from a young age to pursue passions.

The dream may change. It may take an occasional left turn, but it will still be MY dream. I am building my own dream, not someone elses.
